July 31, 2007
The surface of the Michigan subtle
below the brilliant dollop of morning sun,
unhurried, as my mind ought to be--
and yet, in the end, already is.
July 26, 2007
Self like the splash
of rain upon the roadway--
nothing striking nothing.
July 13, 2007
Swelling in chorus like the sunrise,
like the open road,
my heart awkward beautiful
in the rhythm of this dance.
